About
I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. My earliest memory of photography was getting a digital point and shoot camera at 8 years old. I was elated to finally have a camera of my own and I subsequently photographed everything in sight.
In junior high, I enrolled in a filmmaking class and two photography classes, where I was introduced to films and photography that I had never seen before. I also learned techniques that I continue to use to this day. The photography classes focused on the basics of camera operation, composition, shapes, lines, colour, texture, size, and depth. We were taught to be creative with what we had around us which included many objects found around the photography rooms. In those years, I took advantage of summer road trips along the west coast to practice landscape and nature photography, which was my true passion.
